Accessibility Resources and IEPs

A recent Individual Education Plan (IEP), including the final Evaluation Report, is a useful guide for identifying a student's history of accommodations.

Accommodations at the collegiate level may vary significantly from those in an IEP, given the difference in laws governing postsecondary-level accommodations as compared to those pertaining to the PreK-12 system. Colleges typically use IEPs for guidance and work with students to identify college-appropriate accommodations that provide equal access to classes, coursework and facilities.
